Davidson Respite House provides emergency temporary overnight relief to caregivers of a child with a qualifying disability. Services are available on a limited basis dependent upon capacity in the house.
Ages: 6 weeks-17
Who is eligible to receive services through this program?: A child with a qualifying developmental disability who is 6 weeks to 17 years of age.
All children must have a complete registration packet prior to receiving services. All services must be scheduled through the office. There are NO drop-in services.
Children in the custody of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services utilize the DRH by contacting the office for placement
Where does this program provide services?: Davidson Respite House is located in the Monte Vista Historic District just north of downtown.
Do clients pay for services?: Yes
How are fees determined?: Families are required to disclose financial information and proof of income during the registration process. We hold contracts with some school districts for non-educational reimbursement funds, AACOG, MDCP, CWP. Fees for Davidson Respite House are based on a sliding scale. This scale is based on the number of people in the family and the household income. Families are required to disclose financial information and proof of income during the registration process.
