Program Description:

We receive donated previously owned medical equipment from the greater community and businesses, refurbish, repair, and sanitize these items, then provide them to low-income persons with disabilities.

Mission: Our mission is to provide access to durable medical equipment and fitted mobility devices for low-income persons with disabilities so they can live as independently as possible.
Ages: All
Who is eligible to receive services through this program?: Low income persons with disabilities; must provide a doctor's prescription for the medical equipment being requested; proof of residence with a current address; picture ID; SS Card; proof of income.
Where does this program provide services?: Bexar County; Coastal Bend Region; a home assessment can be done for Bexar County residents only
Do clients pay for services?: Yes
How are fees determined?: Clients requiring electric wheelchairs or power chairs are requested to pay for the cost of batteries which usually averages $128 to $275 for a set of 2; the cost depends on the size of the batteries.
